Now one Spanish tech blog has discovered a way to recover or read messages deleted by the other person in a WhatsApp chat. According to it, if an incoming message had generated a notification on the phone, it can be recovered from the notification log of the Android handset. However, this does not work if a notification was not generated, i.e., if you had kept the chat open or active when the message arrived.

Methods to Read deleted messages on Whatsapp using Delete for Everyone Feature:

There are two to three ways to see those deleted messages. First, one can install Notification History application from Google Play Store. After installing, give necessary permissions to the app.  Basically this app records all the notifications that you received on your status bar. This app was created in order to missed out notification. Sometimes, we may clear out all the notifications accidentally. At that time this app can come handy.

When you receive a message on whatsapp there will be notification pop up on the status. This will be recorded in the notification history app. If the sender the deleted the messages you can’t read it through the whatsapp app. Now open the notification history app and find whatsapp notification and open it. That’s it now you can enjoy read deleted messages on whatsapp.

The second way is to enter the notification log manually. Long press on your home screen and select widgets. Scroll until you find settings widget. Pull that on your home screen. A new option will open with a slew of options to choose from, select Notification log. From now on, this setting widget will directly lead you to your notification history. After the notification log is opened, you can see all your notification there. Mind you, opening a notification here will load all the intricate details of that particular notification, not just the text. (Note: This Feature won’t available on all smartphones)

For mobile phones with ‘pure’ Android, like Moto and Pixel phones, the settings widget is already added to the home screen and you will find t  he notification registry from there. Reportedly, these methods work only with Android 6 (Marshmallow) or higher.

If you use above two method, you can easily read deleted messages on Whatsapp.
